Alert test message sent out Wednesday afternoon

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Phones in Medicine Hat and Saskatchewan should have received an emergency alert notification on their phone Wednesday afternoon.

A nationwide emergency alert test took place in multiple provinces, with a test message being delivered to phones and mobile devices on an LTE network.

At CHAT News Today, we set out the phones of six employees, all using different carriers.

Five phones successfully received the message, while one got nothing.

On our Facebook page, we received a mix of yes and no answers on whether people received the message. Some reported getting a message for Alberta, but not one for Saskatchewan, and vice-versa.
