Michael Bullion commits to UOIT Ridgebacks hockey team

OSHAWA, ONTARIO — Michael Bullion is planning to continue his hockey career in college.

The former Medicine Hat Tigers goaltender has committed to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Ridgebacks, the team announced on Monday. 

Bullion finished with a 3.19 goals against average and a .891 save percentage in 40 games during his overage season.

The Anchorage, Alaska native spent several years as a youth playing for teams in the Greater Toronto Area. He played the Vaughan Kings Minor Midget AAA team, the Toronto Junior Canadiens and the Toronto Marlboros Midget AAA Team from 2012-2014, before being drafted by the Portland Winterhawks, according to Elite Prospects.

According to Erica Bessell with the team, training camp gets underway in September.
