Firefighters respond to grass fire at CFB Suffield on Monday

CFB SUFFIELD – Fire crews were kept busy Monday afternoon following a grass fire at CFB Suffield.
According to the base, firefighters responded to a training fire located between five and six kilometres east of Highway 884, in the northwest corner of the range. The fire happened at approximately 1 p.m.
The base says the fire is considered contained at this time, and is not a threat to any public roadways or residences.
Firefighters from Jenner and Special Areas No. 2 helped respond to the fire.
