MEDICINE HAT, AB – Residential street sweeping is set to get underway in the city on Monday.

Crews will be sweeping streets in downtown and near the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. The program has been focused on clearing gravel and sanding material from bridges and high-traffic areas since it began earlier this month

No Parking signs will be placed at least 12 hours prior to work beginning. The parking ban allows crews to clean the roads effectively for all users.

Residents are asked to sweep loose gravel from sidewalks and boulevards onto the street.

Residential zones will be swept between 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, while commercial zones will be swept from 5 a.m – 7 a.m. as needed.

More information, including a map of each zone, can be found here.
