CALGARY, AB — The Grey Cup is coming to Calgary next year.

The CFL announced Wednesday morning that McMahon Stadium will play host to the 107th Grey Cup Game on November 24, 2019.

“The home of a leading football operation in the Stampeders, Calgary is also known around the world for its tremendous hospitality, love of sport and ability to put on world-class events,” said Randy Ambrosie, Commissioner of the Canadian Football League, in a news release.

“We have every confidence this city will put on a Grey Cup worthy of Canada’s greatest sporting tradition.”

It’s the first time since 2009 Calgary will hos the Grey Cup game, and the fifth time overall.

This year’s Grey Cup game will take place at Commonwealth Stadium on November 25.

The Stampeders also announced fans who purchase season tickets for the upcoming season will be guaranteed the opportunity to buy a Grey Cup seat in 2019 ahead of the general public.
