MEDICINE HAT, AB — Staff with the City of Medicine Hat are planning a review of parking around Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.

During the development and infrastructure committee meeting on Wednesday, a verbal update on the issue of parking was brought forward.

Complaints have been made about congestion, with the hospital, clinical officers and a school all in the same area.

Some of the proposed changes could involve adjusting the times and limiting how long people are allowed to park in certain areas.

The city is not responsible for the hospital’s parkade, but have control over on-street parking.

Due to the ongoing construction and expansion at the hospital, a review of parking is not expected to happen until 2020.
