E-Recycling event scheduled for Saturday postponed a week

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat residents will have to wait another week to dispose of their electronics in a safe manner.

The E-Recyling Event set for Saturday at REDI Bottle Depot has been postponed until April 7, due to inclement weather expected this weekend.

The event, a part of Fraud Prevention Month, is hosted by police and the Electronic Recycling Association out of Calgary. Residents can bring their computers, cell hpones, disc drives, DVD players and other electronics to be recycled or disposed of.

All hard drives brought to the event will be shredded to ensure all personal data is erased.

The event runs from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
