Local judo fighter Cobbe-Hoggan captures bronze internationally

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Ethan Cobbe-Hoggan is calling his recent bronze medal finish at the Edmonton International Judo Championships a huge boost of confidence.

Having secured a spot on the podium, competing alongside some of the world’s best judoka’s in the world, the 16-year-old Medicine Hat Judo Club member is excited for what’s to come.

Cobbe-Hoggan has several more events marked on his calendar, including the Rocky Mountain Tournament in Airdrie next month, which serves as a qualifier for the Canada Summer Games. The most prestigious event rolls around in May, when the best judo fighters from across the country conviene in Calgary for the Canadian Open Championships.
