First road construction project of the season starts April 2

Medicine Hat, AB. – There may still be snow on the ground, but the city’s first road construction project will start in less than 2 weeks.

It will begin completion of the work on South Railway street – where installation of deep utilities and surface improvements began a year ago.

The remaining deep utilities and surface work will be from the Allowance Avenue overpass to Kingsway Avenue – with completion during the spring and summer of this year.

The work begins April 2nd.  Minimal temporary traffic control measures will be required at first.  But as construction activities increase later in the spring, additional temporary traffic control measurers and detours will be set up.
