Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – March 22

Mad Hatter
Someone is upset that kids in junior high and high school are being bussed? They are still in school. Of course the school division, which they are attending, should be bussing them. As if they should be worried about spending money on public transport when they already have to worry about saving thousands of dollars for University. Don’t be so ignorant.

Happy Hatter
Too many people complaining about things so instead, I will say I am very happy spring is on its way. It may be coming in slow but I can feel it in the air.

Mad Hatter
I think the city should look at reducing black bin pickup instead of charging more for implementation of blue bins.  Charge those that have extra waste more, don’t punish everyone with higher fees.

Mad Hatter
I regularly see bylaw ignoring issues. They drive by one home weekly who keeps their black bin on the road.  Isn’t there a bylaw that requires them to be removed off roadways in 24 hours?  So why does bylaw ignore it? No one complained? Garbage pickup was 4 days ago, and there it sits at its permanent location. Why have bylaws, if the bylaw officers turn blind eyes to bylaws being broken.

Mad Hatter
I hope the city has a plan on paving 12 St in Crescent Heights this year and Dunmore Road up to the overpass! The city is neglecting the roads in the city right now it’s pothole city.

Mad Hatter
Is not clearing sidewalks and dog feces really all that matters in this empty, down-at-heel city? Equally, can we miss out the bad driving complaints as that is simply the appalling standard of driving across the
city… This is a nice place but the City needs to improve a lot in a lot of areas. I’ll finish by starting the complaints about the potholes in the roads! Construction season is nearly upon us.

Mad Hatter
Can’t believe someone would blame the NDP for the Ft McMurray fire. No matter the budget or firemen, it would have been out of control. Look at USA wildfires.  Who do you blame for the Slave Lake fire? Last 4 years money has been added to the fire budget. People in FM do not blame the NDP. Slave Lake does not blame the PC (or do they). Who do we blame for the 2013 floods? This government has & is, diversifying this province, FINALLY. PCs are too busy giving the rich oil executives money & not looking after everyone else in this province. AB is in better shape than SK right now.

Mad Hatter
The speed limit in school zones is 30 KPH, it’s not 11 KPH, it’s not 18 KPH and it certainly is not 21 KPH. Nothing more frustrating getting behind these drivers that insist today’s school zone speed limit is 8 KPH.

Mad Hatter
I am much happier to have digital door knocking than the MLA showing up in person at my door wanting me to vote for him.  Digital door knocking gives a person more choices than physically having to close the door in person.

Happy Hatter
Happy to see children outside playing instead of sitting inside on electronic devices.
