Province looking for nominees for Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame

EDMONTON, AB — The province is accepting nominations for the Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame, which has been around since 1951, honours the accomplishments of men and women who have dedicated their lives to agriculture and rural communities.

“Agriculture is at the heart of who we are as Albertans – that’s why the Hall of Fame is so important in recognizing those whose vision and hard work have helped advance our sector,” said Oneil Carlier, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, in a statement.

Nominations have been open since March 1, and close on April 30. Candidates must be nominated by three individuals who are not members of their immediate family..

Individuals are inducted every two years, and this year’s ceremony will take place in October.
