Pincher Creek RCMP say travel not recommended on Highway 3

PINCHER CREEK, AB — RCMP is not advising travel on parts of Highway 3 due to blowing snow and winter conditions.

Pincher Creek RCMP sent out an advisory against travel after responding to numerous collisions and vehicles in the ditch on the highway. They say any travel on the highway is not recommended.

According 511 Alberta, Highway 3 in both directions near Bow Island is showing covered ice, drifting snow, snow and ice on the shoulder of the road, strong winds, drifting snow and poor visibility.

Drivers who are travelling on the roads are advised to drive with extreme caution.
