Strathmore, AB. – A fast moving system is bringing high wind and a blowing snow advisory for much of southeastern Alberta.
Northerly winds from 50 to 70 kph are reducing visibility in blowing snow.
Highway 1 is closed between Brooks and the intersection of Highway 21 near Strathmore. The area has experienced snow, freezing rain and blowing snow that’s reduced visibility. There was also a multi vehicle crash near the Highway 21 intersection.
Environment Canada says conditions will improve this afternoon as winds diminish.
