MEDICINE HAT, AB — For the first time since the Christmas break, the Medicine Hat Tigers have more than three days off between games.

So what do they do? Que the red carpet at the Canalta Centre, as the squad takes center ice for its Annual Skills Competition. Doors to the ‘Nalta open at 6:30 p.m. with the event beginning at 7:00 p.m on Tuesday night.

The roster has been split in half for what never fails to impress on both a skill-level, as well as entertainment wise. Members of the Orange and Black will show their ‘true colours’ in front of Tigers faithful, with autographs and prizes also up for grabs.

Mark Rassell and Dave Quenneville have chosen their respective teams, and are ready to compete in a variety of events such as Fastest Skater, Hardest Slapshot, Shooting Accuracy, and many more.

CHAT Sports caught up with the two captains ahead of the big night to hear their expectations, whether or not they have any tricks up their sleeves, and who they believe will win a few of the showdowns.

The cost to attend the Skills competition is $5.00 at the door, with all proceeds going towards the MS Society of Southeastern Alberta.
