MEDICINE HAT, AB – It’s crunch time for the Medicine Hat College Rattlers basketball teams this weekend.

The men’s club is coming off a tough 83-82 loss in Red Deer last Saturday, a game where they trailed by 14 at half time. They can still steal first place from the SAIT Trojans, who are two points ahead of the Rattlers in the standings as the final few weeks of play begin. The Trojans (13-1) are coming off their first loss of the season; they have two games in hand on Medicine Hat (12-4).

The Rattlers host the win-less Briercrest Clippers (0-15) Friday at (8:00 p.m.) and Saturday at (3:00 p.m.).

Meanwhile, the Medicine Hat College women’s team (11-5) is looking to end a two game slide. After a 6-0 start to the season, the Rattlers have lost 5 of their last 10 games. They sit in second place, just two points ahead of Olds College and St. Mary’s University, who both have a game in hand.

The ladies also play host the Briercrest Clippers (3-12) Friday at (6:00 p.m.) and Saturday at (1:00 p.m.).
