MEDICINE HAT, AB —Tonight the Medicine Hat Tigers will host the Calgary Hitmen for the first game in a home and home series this weekend. The Tabbies have faced the Hitmen three times this season posting a 2-0-1-0 record. The Hitmen fell 3-2 in a shoot out to the Red Deer Rebels in their last match. The Orange and Black are looking to build off a lopsided 6-0 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Medicine Hat Tigers – Tyler Preziuso brings high skill and speed with him as a forward for the Orange and Black. Preziuso suited up Wednesday night for the first time since sustaining an upper body injury January 26th and did not miss a beat by opening the scoring less than 3 minutes into the game. Look for the 19-year-old Victoria native who plays with hustle and heart to make an impact on both ends of the ice. 

Calgary Hitmen – Jakob Stukel is the top point producer for the Hitmen with 41 points (26G, 15A) so far this season. Stukel has reached career highs in goals this season and is an offensive weapon for the Hitmen.

In his first year with the Orange and Black, Linus Nassen has been making a name for himself. Hailing from Sweden, Nassen has 22 points in 38 games with the Tigers. The Tabbies blue line also features the towering shut down defenceman Kristians Rubins. Rubins is the first Latvian born player to ever suit up for the Tigers and he has netted 6 goals and 19 assists so far this season.

The Tigers acquired 18-year-old netminder Jordan Hollett from the Regina Pats in the offseason. Hollett is a 6th round selection of the Ottawa Senators and currently he is sporting a 16-12-4 record with a 3.44 GAA and a .896 SV% The Orange and Black also have veteran goaltender Michael Bullion. Bullion has a 11-10-3 record posting a .887 SV% and a 3.29 GAA.
