MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat SR and JV girls left Lethbridge victorious after beating the Catholic Central Cougars in both games.

The Junior Varsity Kwahommies improved to 6-2 in league play after a 66-59 win. Kyler Varga had a season high 18 points in the victory while Taya Karsten added 17 points of her own. Karsten has been hot of late with 35 points in her last two games.

Tedesco Marissa had a season high 22 points for the Cougars in the loss. It was a breakout game for Marissa, who hadn’t scored more than eight points a game.

Meanwhile, the Medicine Hat Senior girls cruised to an 83-57 victory, improving to 3-5 in league play. Rhiannon Ware and Brooklyn Kaczynski combined for 43 points. It was a huge triumph for the Kwahommies, who were coming off a tough home loss last week against the 2-6 WR Myers Rebels.

The Senior girls will host the 0-9 Chinook Coyotes (out of Lethbridge) next week, while the JV Kwahommies enter a bye week.
