Police charge two residents after $18,000 worth of drugs seized

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Police Service has arrested two people in Medicine Hat on drug charges and seized approximately $18,000 in methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Police arrested Daniel Kronebusch and Bethany Fitz-Simon, both 22, on Monday after executing a search warrant in the northeast part of the city.

Officers seized 150 grams of methamphetamine, along with smaller amounts of fentanyl and heroin. In addition, bear spray, several knives, a replica handgun and proceeds of crime were seized.

Kronebusch is facing three counts of possession for the purpose of drug trafficking, along with possession of proceeds of crime, and possession of weapons dangerous to the public.

Fitz-Simon is facing one charge of possession of methamphetamine.
