MEDICINE HAT, AB — The City of Medicine Hat is looking for feedback from residents about the impending legalization of cannabis.

The city has officially launched its cannabis consultation survey, intending to receive information about what residents want legalization to look like in the city.

Non-medical cannabis is set to be legalized across Canada in the summer of 2018. The city will have a role in developing local policies and regulations for non-medical cannabis.

Included in the survey are questions about locations for cannabis stores and where it can be publicly consumed.

The provincial government will be responsible for deciding how non-medical cannabis will be distributed and sold within Alberta.

The survey can be found here.

Residents can fill it out until March 14.
