MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers will host the Kelowna Rockets at the Canalta Centre tonight. These two clubs have met only once this season with the Rockets taking the game 4-0. Both teams are coming off 4-3 overtime wins from Wednesday night. The Rockets outlasted the Lethbridge Hurricanes and the Tigers beat the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Medicine Hat Tigers – David Quenneville is the top point producing defenceman in the league with 54 (19G, 35A) and he is leading the Tigers with most power play goals scored (10). He has a hard shot, terrific hockey sense and puck poise. Look for the 19-year-old Edmonton native to make an impact on both ends of the ice for the Tigers. 

Kelowna Rockets – Kole Lind is the top point producer for the the Rockets with 66 points (24G, 42A) and he hasn’t been held pointless in a game since Dec. 8th, 2017, vs. Regina Pats. Lind also scored the game winning goal in overtime for the Rockets on Wednesday night vs. the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

In his first year with the Orange and Black, Linus Nassen has been making a name for himself. Hailing from Sweden, Nassen has 22 points in 38 games with the Tigers. The Tabbies blue line also features the towering shut down defenceman Kristians Rubins. Rubins is the first Latvian born player to ever suit up for the Tigers and he has netted 5 goals and 18 assists so far this season.

Protecting the Paint:

The Tigers acquired 18-year-old netminder Jordan Hollett from the Regina Pats in the offseason. Hollett is a 6th round selection of the Ottawa Senators and currently he is sporting a 15-11-3 record with a 3.38 GAA and a .897 SV% The Orange and Black also have veteran goaltender Michael Bullion. Bullion has a 10-8-2 record posting a .879 SV% and a 3.41 GAA.
