REDCLIFF, AB — Redcliff RCMP are investigating a pair of break and enters in rural areas of Cypress County that have occurred this week.

According to a news release, both incidents involved theft of valuables, including jewellery and a laptop computer, and both have taken place since January 22.

According to police, a truck may have been involved and occupied by an unknown man and woman during the alleged break ins. Police are looking for a white, three-quarter ton extended cab Dodge Ram made between 1995 and 2000. The first three letters of the license plate are “B-C-K.”

RCMP say the vehicle may have been seen in Elkwater in the last month.

Anyone with information about the break and enters can call Redcliff RCMP at 403-548-2288 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

RCMP adds residents should ensure they are keeping their houses and vehicles locked and making it difficult for criminals to target property. Measures include lighting, security systems and using the efforts of the community to deter and report crime.
