Large police presence in Southview now clear

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A large police presence was seen in the Southview area of the city earlier Thursday afternoon and has since been cleared.
Officers responded to the area near Cypress Way SE and Craig Road SE for a mental health call.
Numerous police vehicles were seen in the area and say there was a weapon involved.
No one was hurt but police say one person has been taken to hospital.
