City to begin snow removal Wednesday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Crews will be starting snow removal operations throughout the city Wednesday morning.

Beginning at 4 a.m., daytime snow removal will begin on sections of 13th Avenue Southeast and Southview Drive Southeast.

The removed sees the snow graded into piles, loaded into trucks and then taken to designated disposal sites.

Nighttime snow removal will start Sunday at 10 p.m. in various locations including the hospital, downtown, Kingsway Ave SE, as well as sections of Carry Drive Southeast.

No-parking signs will be in place during the operations to allow crews to effectively and safely remove snow from city roads.
