AHS introduces online lab appointment booking for Medicine Hat and Brooks

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Patients in Medicine Hat and Brooks are now able to book lab appointments online through a new system.

Appointments can be booked for the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and at the Medicine Hat Collection Site on Carry Drive, along with the Brooks Collection Site (#7 500 Cassils Road East). Appointments can be booked at those sites by visiting www.ahs.ca/labsouth.

Physicians, care providers and family members can also book appointments on behalf of a patient. When the appointment is booked, patients will be given a confirmation number, which they will need to bring with them to their appointment.

The online book is encouraged for any lab service, including blood collection, electrocardiogram and collections for young children.

Appointments can also be booked over the phone through a central booking line. This can be done by calling 403-502-8269 or toll-free at 1-866-232-4732. The line is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
