City to begin installing festive lights on Tuesday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — It will begin to look a lot like Christmas in the coming weeks in Medicine Hat.

Workers with the City of Medicine Hat will begin installing the festive lights in the city starting on Tuesday.

The schedule is weather dependent, but lights will begin going up in Downtown, first Street Southeast and the Maple Avenue Bridge. Lights will also be installed on 8th Street NE, Division Avenue North near 20th Street NE, Kingsway Avenue and South Railway Street, Trans Canada Way, Carry Drive, Dunmore Road and 13th Avenue SE.

While the installation work is going on, the public is reminded to obey all traffic signs and posted speed limits in the areas to allow crews to work safely
