Mohawks eliminated by Foothills in provincial quarter-finals
OKOTOKS, AB – It’s the end of the road for the Medicine Hat High Mohawks football team, seeing their season come to an end in provincial quarter-finals on Saturday.
The seventh-ranked Mohawks were facing off against the third-seeded Foothills Composite Falcons in Okotoks, with the winner advancing to the South Regional Finals.
Medicine Hat only trailed by a 25-15 count at halftime, but had a rough third quarter and ended up losing to the Falcons by a 54-15 final score.
Finishing the season with a 9-2 record, the Mohawks were crowned South Zone champions for the second straight year with a win over Lethbridge’s Catholic Central.
