Crowsnest Pass RCMP investigating fatal fire

BLAIRMORE, AB — RCMP in Crowsnest Pass are investigating after a 55-year-old woman died in a house fire early Monday morning.
According to a news release, Crowsnest Pass RCMP were dispatched to a fire in an apartment building on 20th Avenue in Blairmore. Firefighters entered the unit where the fire occurred, and removed the lone resident from the building. The resident, a 55-year-old woman, was pronounced dead on the scene.
There were no other injuries, and one other resident of the building was evacuated following the fire.
RCMP and fire investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
