MEDICINE HAT, AB — With 10 points in his first 10 career games, Peyton Krebs is proving he’s more than ready for WHL hockey.

The Okotoks, AB product, selected 1st overall in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft, leads the Kootenay ICE in scoring with two goals and eight assists. That includes a tenacious four-point performance against the Spokane Chiefs in just his third career game.

Krebs eruption in the Dub goes hand-in-hand with the Kootenay ICE fresh look. The franchise is adorned in new uniforms, new coaching staff, new ownership, new management, even a mascot by the name Shivers. Krebs is single-handedly helping the Cranbrook-based club get off the floor of last years WHL standings.

So when Krebs and company come to the Gas City on Friday, count on the Tigers throwing a lot of attention towards the swift-handed left winger.

Well rested after having not played a game in a week, Tigers players David Quenneville and Jimmy Hamblin explain what they expect out of a refurbished ICE club, plus Tigers assistant coach Joe Frazer gives his thoughts on Krebs offensive breakout to the season.

Game time between the Tigers and ICE is 7:30pm.
