South Country Co-op and CHAT Television are partnering to help Hatters have a full tank of gas in their car and full pantry in their home.
The Great Gas and Grocery Giveaway is returning for its second year on October 19.
“We really like to work together and support fun community events like this” said Carmen Hudson with South Country Co-op.
“It’s a great opportunity for residents of Medicine Hat and surrounding area who maybe haven’t had the opportunity to check out our food stores and gas bars to come in, have a look around, maybe take their winning gift card and do some shopping for Christmas.”
Entering the contest is simple. Watch CHAT Television every weeknight from 7:30-11:30 p.m. A Great Gas and Grocery Giveaway Logo will pop up during regular programming. When you see the logo, visit www.chattelevision.ca or chatnewstoday.ca and click on the contest page and list the time the logo appeared and the show being watched when it appeared.
Every day, there is a $75 Co-op gift card available to win, and every one who has entered the promotion is entered to win a grand prize of a $2,000 gift card from Co-op.
“It was phenomenal last year,” Hudson recalled. “The community was really, really excited about it. We had a lot of positive feedback in our stores and social media.”
Hudson said she remembers many of the gift card winners last year getting emotional when they won.
“Many of them were in tears,” she said. “They were so grateful. You’re rolling into a season where money is starting to get tight, and this is a really good opportunity to put some food on their shelves or some gas in their car during what may be a tough time.”
The contest runs until November 22, so keep watching CHAT Television for your chance to win.
