OSHAWA, ON — Two rounds of the CCAA National Golf Championship are in the books from the Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Oshawa, Ontario.

Three members of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers are posting respectful rounds as the tournament heads into it’s final 36 holes of play.

Second year Rattler Nicole Schultz, making her second appearance at Nationals, bettered her opening round 92 by carding an 85 on Wednesday. The Olds, AB native sits tied for 11th, 16 strokes back of Madison Kapchinksy of the UFV Cascades in first place.

Sierra Zukowski and Ciara Bonogofski also signed off on better second rounds. Rookie Zukowski sits 21st after opening the tournament with a 101 and rounding the course with a 94 in round two.

Bonogofski, who missed a substantial amount of practice and tournament time with a partially torn rotator cuff, sits last place with rounds of 118-111.

In team play, the Rattlers remian seventh of eight schools participating. The ladies shaved 14 strokes off their opening round score to sit at 372 in total.

Not much separation between teams following 36 holes of play. Just 34 strokes distances the Rattlers from the Humber College Hawks who sit third place.
