MEDICINE HAT, AB – Home games for both the SEAC Bantam AAA and Minor Midget AAA teams on Saturday.

For the Bantam AAA squad, the Tigers were hoping to build on a two-game win streak as they welcomed the Camrose Red Wings to town.

It didn’t take long for the Tigers to grab an early lead, as Ethan Machan scored just 1:05 into the contest to give SEAC a 1-0 lead.

Camrose found the equalizer just before the midway mark of the first, as Carson Taylor potted one on the power play to make it a 1-1 score after 20 minutes.

The Red Wings carried over that momentum to the second period, with Jager Broughton making it a 2-1 lead for Camrose just 38 seconds into the frame.

SEAC didn’t stay down for long though, with Mason Mowat finding the back of the net five minutes later to knot the score at 2-2.

That game remained tied at 2-2 until the 1:09 mark of the third, with Tigers forward Caleb Wyrostok vaulting SEAC into the lead on the power play.

Tigers goalie Brendan Olson stopped all seven Red Wings shots he faced in the third, to secure a 3-2 win for SEAC.

Olson came out of Saturday’s contest with the win, making 19 saves on 21 Camrose shots.

Winning their third consecutive game, the Tigers are now 3-3-2 on the season and remain in fourth place in the Ram South Division.

In the following Minor Midget game, the Tigers were still searching for their first win of the season against the Red Deer Chiefs.

SEAC took a 1-0 lead with only 80 seconds left in the first courtesy of Brady Dovichak, with Ryoma Hernandez and Caleb Irvine picking up helpers.

Red Deer responded with just under five minutes remaining in the second frame, as Steven Bell picked up the tying goal for the Chiefs.

That would be it for the goal scoring, with SEAC’s Gage Reimer and Red Deer’s Carter Vooys shutting the door and preserving a 1-1 tie.

Reimer had a fantastic evening between the pipes for the Tigers, only allowing one goal on 41 shots against.

The Tigers are still searching for their first win, dropping their record to 0-4-1 on the season and sit in last place in the South Division.

The weekend home stands continue on Sunday for both Tigers teams, as the Bantam AAA Tigers go for four wins in a row against Red Deer Rebels at 12:00 pm, while the Minor Midget Tigers play the CNHA Blazers at 2:45 pm.
