If you’re running for local office, I think you should have the loyalty to use local companies to do your campaign signs. I’m seeing a lot of mail-order signs lining our streets. Once that money is spent online in another country, it’s gone from our community. Buy local and support the people whose votes you covet. I do not work or have a connection with any sign company, just an observation.

I have had three people jump stop signs in front of me in the last two days. People in Medicine Hat suck at driving. It is so infuriating.

When will the States learn that allowing its citizens to buy semi-automatic and automatic weapons is a recipe for disaster. It’s just heart wrenching to turn on the news to hear about more mass shootings and more families whose lives have been destroyed.

The current state of the world makes me mad and sad. Hurricanes that flattened some of the most beautiful islands, terror attacks across Europe, mass shootings in the US. 2017 has been a hard year.

Happy to have spent Thanksgiving with my friends and family. Truly blessed that I have such a wonderful group of people around me.

Careless and distracted driving makes me angry. When other drivers pull bone-headed moves that end up affecting you, it’s awful! I can’t help it if someone isn’t paying attention and goes through a red light into my car or doesn’t yield at a corner and hits me. That thought – that my safety isn’t completely in my hands – it bothers me.

When you spend so much time, effort and money on someone and don’t get so much as a thank you. Being busy is one thing, but not so much that responding to a text within a two-week period is acceptable? That’s just ridiculous. I can see what friendship means to some people.

That it took a former city councillor 2 years to be able to understand the Council meeting packages. Stay out of politics and off boards if you can’t grasp what’s in front of you! No wonder this city is a mess.

It’s boot and scarf weather! Excited for winter, the snow makes everything look so beautiful. Love this country!

Upset to see in a recent MH news poll that 73% of people do not believe the Medicine Hat advantage exists anymore – maybe all these supposed businesspeople on council DON’T know what they are doing. We can bring it back by bringing in a new council and a new mayor willing to welcome new ideas to our city.

The Chamber had a great moderator for the debates and great questions. I am impressed with some of the new candidates (confused by the two men who are running together). I look forward to seeing new faces on City Council in a few weeks. Please, Medicine Hat, vote for change!!
