MEDICINE HAT, AB — The city is still dealing with power outages in the city due to the weather.

According to a social media post made shortly before 4 p.m., crews are on the scene of power outages affecting homes in the Ranchview and Ranchlands neighbourhood. The city says they are hoping to restore power as quickly as possible.

Earlier this afternoon, the city said it had restored power to all residents from the Flats to the city’s northeast, and were focusing on one-off outages and range roads.

The city reminds residents to only call the emergency line if they see a downed power line at 403-529-8260. Residents are reminded to stay at least 10 metres away from downed lines.
