Two women arrested in connection with Fletcher Kimmel homicide

CALGARY — Two people are in custody in connection with the murder of Fletcher Kimmel.

Calgary Police announced late Friday they have arrested two women in connection with the death of the former Brooks resident, and charges are pending. Their names will be released after they have been seen by a Justice of the Peace.

Kimmel, 30, was last seen alive on Sept. 27, 2016, at a 7-11 in northeast Calgary. He was spotted getting into a black Toyota Rav4. His body was discovered in a wooded area near the Jumpingpound Demonstration Forest in January.
