Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Sept 28

Sep 28, 2017 | 8:15 AM

Happy Hatter
Thank you to the new lady running for Council who rode the bus and listened to rider’s stories, happy to see transportation is one of her three main focuses, along with community and economic development.

Mad Hatter
Wish our local newspaper would focus on using the spell/grammar check feature on Word before they print stories.

Happy Hatter
Nice to see PC wanted Carbon Tax too since they started the ball rolling & NDP rolled it out.

Happy Hatter
Love the simple fall evenings taking walks downtown. Also, a BIG fan of the new ice cream and food place downtown! The cute oldies vibe and the friendly gent behind the counter are wonderful!! Hope he does well with business!

Mad Hatter
All the “re-elect” our mayor signs that are popping up.

Mad Hatter
Upset that some people can not keep things civil and respectful in the online election debate – some choose to make blatant or subtle snide comments about candidate’s religious beliefs, political ideologies, gender, age, or skin colour. Our city needs diversity on council – people of diverse genders and backgrounds, people with diverse experiences and beliefs. I could care less if someone promotes themselves as being a conservative candidate – I want city representatives who are willing to ask questions and look at issues from ALL sides (like transit) and who can represent the diversity of our city to work together as a team to make good decisions that take ALL citizens into consideration.

Mad Hatter
Saw my first ever car accident happen behind me today… all happened because someone decided to race passed traffic, making their own lane, while another car was turning. Careless driving like this is so awful!!!

Mad Hatter
Feeling tired, rundown and overwhelmed this fall. Wish I could take a long holiday away.
