Former summer camp director facing child porn charges

MEDICINE HAT, AB. — A man who identifies himself as a former camp director at Eagles Nest Ranch summer camp, has been arrested on child pornography charges.

Investigators with the Internet Child Exploitation Unit, with the help of Medicine Hat City Police, arrested 25 year old Nolan Davidson last Thursday.

Police seized a number of electronic devices from Davidson’s home in Crestwood.

Currently, investigators have no evidence to suggest any offences were committed against any children who attended the camp.

“We’ve done a cursory search of the evidence and it doesn’t appear that there’s any live pictures or any victims that occurred here,” said Inspector Brent Secondiak. “It’s all internet based, so all the images were taken from known child porn images on the internet.”

The investigation began last November, after a tip from the U.S. National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.

Davidson is charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.
