BROOKS, AB – The Brooks Bandits have shipped off one of their depth players from last year’s AJHL championship squad.

On Friday, the Bandits announced they had traded forward Nic Vlahos to the Georgetown Raiders of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.

Acquired from the Central Canada Hockey League’s Pembroke Lumber Kings last year, Vlahos played in 33 regular season games with the Bandits and scored 14 points.

The 20-year-old also dressed in three games last season for the North American Hockey League’s New Jersey Junior Titans.

Also on Friday, Brooks faced off against the Drumheller Dragons in their penultimate game of the pre-season.

Tyler Vanuden and Nolan Thompson scored for the Bandits, but ultimately they fell to the host Dragons by a 3-2 final score.

Brooks finishes up their pre-season schedule on Sunday afternoon, when they host Drumheller at 4:00 pm at Centennial Regional Arena.
