Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Sept 7

Happy Hatter
With public transit reduction….I wonder if this will give another business the opportunity to provide shuttle services within Medicine Hat. Look at the transit reduction savings if it was outsourced!

Mad Hatter
So, first day of kids back to school and what do I see? Photo radar parked at the bottom of Parkview Drive at noon!!! Why on this day of all days, aren’t they in one of the very many busy school/playground zones????? Nope, no cash cow there?? And they wonder why citizens are pissed off!

Happy Hatter
HAPPY to see someone else enter the race for mayor – in order to grow and thrive we need new people in City Hall!

Mad Hatter
Why did the City not give some homeowners notice that their front streets would become no park zones with the new bus route?? This whole bus fiasco is getting more and more ridiculous by the day!

Mad Hatter
These new bus routes are absolute garbage! We dont need to be looking at saving public transport costs. We need to be expanding and making our public transport more convinient. Better transport helps tourism, helps the underemployed, it means less people driving which saves the environment. Lets fire the city council and watch how they survive with this absolute rubbish on minimum wage hourly positions.

Mad Hatter
The people in charge of Medicine Hat love to make ridiculous decisions that seemingly ruin the lives of their citizens. Thank god elections are coming.

Mad Hatter
Photo radar ticket for going 58 in a 50!? Are you JOKING?! This city is full of greedy, moronic, cash cow villains who would rather bleed their citizens than actually protect them from the real dangers. As if 58 on Dunmore road at 6pm on a TUESDAY is a problem. How about we focus on the car theft, the road rage, the rampant drug issues and worry less about someone going 8 over the speed limit. This city sucks.

Mad Hatter
City should find ways to make money instead of reduction of services.  Bylaw officers seem to turn away and wait for a complaint.  Then, they warn instead of having a system in place such as: first issue – warning, second issue a fine, third issue a higher fine, etc.

Mad Hatter
Caught a bus in Crescent Heights and had to wait over 40 minutes downtown by Library to catch another. Total cluster with new system. Big surprise that the City has to go back and revise. Should start from scratch with people who have a clue and who have actually USED the bus to see what goes on and who uses it, as well as who really needs it.

Mad Hatter
How much was the consultation fee for this new unimproved transit system? What was the cost of new bus route signs? Cost of moving of the bus benches/shelters? Cost of man hours to make these changes?  Cost of drivers learning the new routes?  Cost of publication of new routes?  The entire city council including the mayor should park their vehicles for at least one entire week – including weekend and evenings and use the new public system only!   Enjoy the new system. Live out of town?  Drive into city limits and park and ride. Don’t make excuses why you cant when there are city residents who have no other option to them but take public transit.
