Gally, Gerlach react to Texas flooding

MEDICINE HAT, AB — As the Medicine Hat Tigers prepare for their first exibition game on Friday, two players are paying close attention to a disastrous scene unfolding in southern Texas.

Forward Max Gerlach and defenceman Dalton Gally both grew up in the southern state.

Gerlach, entering his third season with the Orange and Black, is from Flower, Mound, TX — located on the far north end of the state close to Fort Worth and Dallas. He’s been in constant contact with his family, who he says is safe and sound at this moment.

Gally’s keeping a watchful eye on the situation at hand, saying his grandparents have left their home in Corpus Christi to stay with his parents in New Braunfels.
