LETHBRIDGE, AB — The Medicine Hat Little League Junior All-Stars made easy work in the bronze medal game of the Junior Little League Canadian Championship in Lethbridge on Thursday.

Dawning Alberta colours, the local squad ran away with a 14-0 victory over Team BC in six innings to finish third in the country.

Medicine Hat starting pitcher Heyden Harrison was outstanding, allowing just three hits in a shutout performance in all six innings.

Ty Olynksi and Felix Miller each batted in three runs. Miller was perfect at the plate as well, connecting on four opportunities with a walk.

The host Lethbridge Jr. Bulls and Team Ontario clash at 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the championship final. The winner will not only claim the gold medal, but also earn a spot in the 2017 Junior League World Series in Taylor, MI from August 13-20.
