Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – August 8

Happy Hatter
People say being an adult sucks… but can kids have ice cream for dinner? I don’t think so. Can kids drive to the store at 10pm and buy cookie dough and eat it raw? No they cannot.
Adults-2 kids-0

Mad Hatter
When you worked all day and you’re too tired to cook and too poor to eat out…

Happy Hatter
Excited for the long weekend (past by the time this is posted)! The weather will be PERFECT. Not too hot, not too cold. It’s about time.

Mad Hatter
I was disappointed with the Stampede night shows.  There was no introduction of the bands prior to them coming on stage.  That’s not a very warm welcome from a friendly western community like Medicine Hat.  The stairwells were really dark and dangerous to walk down (the beer girls could not even count out change it was so dark). It made our Stampede look amateurish, when I know it takes a lot of hard work and volunteer effort to make it happen.  One last thing; the Band Perry only played for an hour?  The $400 dollars I spent for all 3 shows was not worth it.

Happy Hatter
It’s my friend’s birthday next week and I am so excited to celebrate! I am very thankful to have such a kind and wonderful friend like her. When I moved to Medicine Hat she made me feel welcome and went out of her way to do so. Instant best friends!

Mad Hatter
Just Stop! There is a cashier at a local hardware store that constantly has people stopping by to see her while she is working to pick up bidding battle winnings. This is distracting to staff and customers and should not be allowed!

Mad Hatter
Since when did the City get into the asphalt business??? City crews will start by removing the top layer of asphalt on Valleyview Drive between Chinook Drive and Valleyview Avenue. When milling is finished, the city’s municipal works paving crew will begin asphalt resurfacing, with day-time paving activities scheduled. I want an explanation. We should hold the City’s feet to the fire in terms of justifying this expense when there are private companies that could do this work.

Mad Hatter
We went to a recent open house at the club in town. It has been quite a few years, but Dad would bring us to town after a long day and treat us with a cold one down there. So on a recent visit with a colleague of mine for dinner, I was totally dismayed by learning reservations were not kept and the waitress/ bartender treated both of us with a total lack of respect – unbelievably rude! Membership? No thanks!

Mad Hatter
Just drove around for an hour looking for hair thinning scissors with absolutely no luck. UGH!

Mad Hatter
When I am at the grocery store I gawk at spending more than 3$ on pasta. I will only buy sauce if it is on sale because more than 1.5$ for pasta sauce is outrageous… yet somehow, I end up at restaurants where yam fries are 3$ more and I hardly bat an eye? Or a sandwich is 15$ and I think that is fair? WHAT EVEN?!
