Regional water projects receive over $3 million in funding

Medicine Hat, AB. –  Seven major water and wastewater projects within the Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner riding, will receive more than three million dollars federal funding.  The money comes from the Canada-Alberta Clean Water and Wastewater Fund agreement.
 

Approved federal funding for drinking water projects within the riding include:

* County of Warner : Treated Storage and Distribution Upgrades – $183,000

Treated Water Distribution Upgrades – $157,500

* County of Cardston : Aetna Regional Waterline – $1,050,000

Hillspring Waterlines – $695,000

* County of Forty-Mile: Distribution Pumping Upgrades – $177,500

Distribution Pumping Upgrades – $188,500

Storage Reservoir Upgrades – $617,000
