MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers have traded another one of their overage players.

Defenceman Jordan Henderson has been traded to the Kootenay Ice in exchange for a conditional sixth round draft pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.

“The Tigers would like to thank Jordan for his dedication and contributions to the Tigers last season,” said Shaun Clouston, head coach and general manager of the Tigers, in a statement. “We wish him all the best in Cranbrook with the Ice.”

Henderson joined the Tigers at the trade deadline from the Saskatoon Blades. In 26 games with the Tigers, he recorded five goals and 14 assists.

Henderson’s trade brings the number of overage players on the Tigers to six. Forwards Zach Fischer and Mark Rassel, defencemen Kristians Rubins, Ty Schultz and Brad Forrest and goaltender Michael Bullion will fight for three overage spots on the Tigers roster next season.
