Medicine Hat Police pull over close to 2,000 cars in Friday checkstops

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A busy Friday night for the Medicine Hat Police Service, as they rolled out checkstops across the city.

Over 1,900 vehicles were pulled over Friday and into the early morning hours of Saturday, with one driver being charged impaired driving and driving above 0.08.

Two other drivers were handed three-day licence suspensions for driving between 0.05 and 0.1, while six tickets for other violations were written up.

Medicine Hat Police also issued 42 traffic safety and three Liquor Act warnings on Friday evening as well.
