Mavericks open home & home series Saturday against Bulls

MEDICINE HAT, AB – An opportunity to jump back into third place in the Western Division on Saturday for the Medicine Hat Mavericks, as they get ready for a tough test against the Lethbridge Bulls.

Medicine Hat is coming off a pair of losses against the Weyburn Beavers, including a 15-2 drubbing at the hands of Weyburn on Thursday night.

With just eight games left on the regular season schedule, the Mavericks find themselves in fourth place in the West and half a game back of the Edmonton Prospects.

As for the Bulls, they’ve positioned themselves into second place in the division, but have dropped three of their last five contests.

The Mavericks have only one win in four contests against the Bulls this year, before kicking off the home and home set at Athletic Park.

Saturday’s game will also feature ‘Superhero Night,’ with the Mavericks wearing superhero jerseys with the following auction generating funds for the Extra Life Charity and the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

Opening pitch between the Mavericks and Bulls is set for 7:05 pm.
