City to begin night time asphalt resurfacing work

MEDICINE HAT, AB — City crews will begin night timeasphalt resurfacing on several Medicine Hat streets Friday night.

Crews will begin by removing the top layer of asphalt on Ross Glen Road SE from Dunmore Road to Ross Haven Place SE starting at 7 p.m., and the work will continue until 7 a.m. Paving of the road will start Sunday at 9 a.m., and is expected to be finished by 7 a.m. on Monday.

The city will move to the intersection at Carry Drive and Dunmore Road on Saturday. Crews will remove the top layer of asphalt from the intersection starting at 7 p.m., and wrap up at 7 a.m. Paving will begin Monday at 9 p.m., and continue until 7 a.m., and it is anticipated to take two nights to complete.

The city will switch to the intersection at College Avenue SE and College Drive, and begin paving on July 12 at 9 p.m., working until 7 a.m. Paving will take approximately two nights to complete.

The remaining portions of roadways which could not be created during night time activities will be completed the following week commencing on July 17th, and continue daily until completion. All work is weather-permitting.

Drivers are reminded to slow down in construction zones, and obey flag persons as crews work.
