Eight people arrested for alleged fentanyl trafficking on Blood Tribe Reserve

STANDOFF, AB — The Blood Tribe Police Service have arrested eight people for alleged fentanyl trafficking on the reserve following a pair of traffic stops last week.

Police made the first traffic stop on June 27, arresting three men and three women. Police found 19.5 fentanyl tablets with an estimated street value of $1,170 in the vehicle, along with $302.65 in cash and four cell phones.

Nathan Brewer, 27, along with 26-year-old Tiffany Genereaux, 33-year-old Lloyd Good Rider, 27-year-old year old Niomi Good Rider, 31-year-old Gracie Quesnell and 34-year-old Tyler Wolf Child were all charged with possession of proceeds of crime and possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

All six are from Standoff. They are set to appear in Cardston Provincial Court on Friday.

Police made the second stop on June 28, arresting two people from Lethbridge. Police seized two grams of methamphetamine, eight fentanyl tablets with an estimated street value of $480, four cellphones and $414.

Kristy Healy, 30, and Jeremy Bridge Water, 35, were each charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Healy was remanded into custody, while Bridge Water was released on cash bail. Both will appear in Cardston Provincial Court on July 10.
