Police reminding public to remove valuables and lock vehicles

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat police are reminding the public to keep their vehicle doors locked and valuables hidden after a recent rash of vehicle break ins in the city.

According to a news release, the police service has responded to 41 reports of thefts from motor vehicles between April 1 and May 8.

In most of the cases, there is no damage because the vehicle has been left unlocked by owners. The items stolen include money, wallets and electronic devices.

Police are reminding residents to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.
