VIDEO: Rattlers soccer coach named ACAC Coach of the Year

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A Medicine Hat College Rattlers coach has received the top honour from the athletic body overseeing college sports in Alberta.

Jim Loughlin, head coach of the Rattlers men’s and women’s soccer teams, received the Alberta Colleges Athletic Association Coaching Excellence award for 2016-17. All ACAC coaches are eligible for the award. Loughlin has coached the Rattlers for 12 years, and was named the women’s soccer coach of the year by the ACAC last year.

Loughlin is now competing for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Year as the ACAC representative. He received the CCAA women’s soccer coach of the year award in 2014.
