TIGERS FAST FACTS:

Compared to last season’s post season run for Brandon, out of their 5 losses on their road to the Cup, the Wheaties gave up more than 5 goals just 3 times (all losses)
The Tigers come into tonight having won 4 straight games dating back to the last weekend of the season. Brandon has lost 4 games heading into tonight dating back to the regular season by a score of 25-6

POWER STRENGTH: The Tigers power play has been electric over their past few weeks leading to the post season. Friday night was no different, with 4 power play markers to their name; Medicine Hat is 10/36 against Brandon this season

There are several Tiger players riding point streaks heading into tonight’s game:

WHO TO WATCH: Tigers – Clayton Kirichenko: Currently riding a 6 game point streak, Kirichenko continues his career season with physical play and an offensive game, Kirichenko is slowly becoming a d-man to watch. Wheat Kings – Tanner Kaspick– A thorn in the Tigers side last night, Kaspick has lots of offensive flare, anchoring the Wheaties top line with the absence of Nolan Patrick

THIS DAY IN HISTORY: During the 2012 Playoffs the Tigers had the opportunity to sweep the Saskatoon Blades on this day. The Tigers opened the scoring in the second period on Emerson Etem’s 7th of the post season. The Tigers 1-0 lead was extended by Curtis Valk as the local product scored a pair in the final frame as Medicine Hat moved onto the second round of the playoffs with a 5-0 win.

NHL DRAFTED / SIGNED PLAYERS: Matt Bradley (Montreal Canadiens), Nick Schneider (Calgary Flames), John Dahlstrom (Chicago Blackhawks), David Quenneville (New York Islanders)
